I've said it before, & I'll say it forever.
Dead Space already solved this back in 2008 before it was even an issue.
Just give games an optional "guide line" that we can choose to use or ignore, that toggles on a "go this way" line for a couple of seconds.
Doesn't break immersion, & helps folks.

I don't play it, but people who hate Fortnite in 2025 clearly never grew up as a kid who didn't have a ton of toys, so whatever ones you had, you played with them together, even if it didn't make any "lore" sense.
Just let people enjoy the sandbox that is awkwardly slamming unrelated toys together.
