There's art and then there's the despicable extravagance that benefits a few and perpetuates celebrity culture that was that gala. One is necessary and the other is heinous

I didn't hate it but didn't LOVE it. Dina at the party and the recklessness of both of them grated on me. Joel looks better tho cos it's been 5 years of (relatively) good living - ofc his hair is better!
I didn't hate The Last Of Us Season 2 premiere, but enough stuff bothered me that it made me like it less than I hoped I would.

One of the things I’m realizing as I get older is the fact that it’s never going to be the right time to ask politicians for basic human decency . There will always be an election to win and democracy will always be on the line for the people who don’t want you to speak out .

I'm in awe of how this slow moving train wreck has been set up post 70s. Gradual dismantling of education, health tied to jobs, desensitization to wars with impunity, then accelerated after they saw BLM came to nothing, mass protests against livestreamed gen cde did NOTHING. The stage now fully set.

One thing I simply can't do or won't do is make too much of a claim that I'm one of the "good Americans" when talking to friends and family from outside the country. I didn't vote for him and I'll make that clear, but asking anyone from another country for sympathy right now is a bad idea, I think

Genuinely think using something like chatgpt in your job should be a sackable offence for many reasons but for one its so untrustworthy that it will always be a dereliction of responsibility and kind of deliberate sabotage
