I love the way Pippin, a 30 year old hobbit who hadn’t even reached adulthood, and considered the most immature member of the fellowship, was able to council Faramir about courage in a way that wasn’t condescending, but as a true friend.
Pippin’s strength paralleled Faramir’s.
