Took a few days off to get some stuff done. Went back to the pirate novel today, adding 1,050 more words. Over 15,000 words, about 1/4 done. Working subtitle is Coups De Main. I think my editor approves though I have to explain to her what everything means & that there are no mice or tunas involved.

Yesterday and today I wrote, putting 901 and then 1107 words respectively on the fantasy novel. It's now over 30,000 words strong. I also took time today to schedule several appointments since I'm feeling better. Picture below is me at my bedroom desk today with Mindy kitty keeping me company.

A friend of mine posted this on Facebook and I shared it there, pinning it to my wall. Gonna do the same thing here. There is help out there if you need it.

I'll be taking some time off from both writing and social media during the holidays. Not a lot of writing getting done anyway, and I definitely need a break. May pop in now and then but mostly offline. Be kind to each other people, we're all in this together.

Only a mere 303 words on the pirate novel today, but at least something got done. Yesterday was a lost day, writing wise; today was a late start. This book is now over 61,500 words and in a story-ending battle scenario. Writing has been a quite struggle for me this year but I still soldier on.

Here's the problem illegal alien Donny boy. Put him on one of your buddy's rockets and send him back. Hey, maybe you guys better escort him, he looks like a real hard case You two should be good for the trip, you're both bonafide space cadets...

This was Ariel then and now, a 2nd chance rescue at 4 years old. Spayed & housebroken. We had her for 12-1/2 happy years. Sadly, she went over the Rainbow Bridge end of May, she was struggling with too many health issues & her quality of life went rapidly downhill. Still miss her terribly!

Newest edition is Dora, a tortie female now 15 weeks old. I adopted her October 19th from a Rhode Island shelter. Dora's mom was feral & had 7 kittens. Dora chose me & she's my constant companion. Doing fine with the other pets too. She'll be spayed when she's old enough, she's rather small yet.

Mork (black & white) & Mindy (gray tuxedo) were 4 month old bonded kittens dumped in a wooded area July 2023. A family friend rescued them but couldn't keep them so we took them both. They are strictly indoor cats now, and very lovable. I had them spayed and neutered.

Gonna post some pictures of my current furbabies. All of them are local rescues.

This is Belle, our rescue dog. She's somewhere under 2 years old, about 30 lbs, spayed, very high energy. She wasn't housebroken and was afraid of men. We got past it all and she's having a far better life these days.
