A friend of mine posted this on Facebook and I shared it there, pinning it to my wall. Gonna do the same thing here. There is help out there if you need it.
Took yesterday off to do some cooking. Messed my shoulder up mashing potatoes for shepherd's pie.🤕 So I got back at my PC later today, and managed to get another 577 words on the pirate novel. As long as the words are coming, I keep working—and even when they don't. The books don't write themselves!

As long as the words are coming, I keep working—and even when they don't. The books don't write themselves!
It snowed overnight. The other half cleared the driveway with his tractor and bucket, and my two sons came over to shovel and salt walkways, saving their 76 year old dad's back. I❤️my family! Since I am beyond shoveling, I got to do some writing this afternoon, another 649 words on the pirate novel.

Back to writing today, now that the holiday tinsel and wrapping paper fragments have settled. I booted up the pirate novel and managed to get 1,131 words on that. The ideas were flowing like a following sea so I went with it. ☠️🏴

This will be the last writing day for a few, but I had a pretty good afternoon. Another 1,420 words made it onto the fantasy novel. Tomorrow I have to make a simple cheesecake, wrap a couple of late arriving gifts, wish #1 son a a happy 42nd birthday, and attend a Zoom with my writer's group.🐝~~~

Busy time of year with the holiday loming and a storm that knocked out cable and internet for a couple days. I did do some writing on a few occasions, adding 200, 272, 1081, 1704, & today 223 words to the fantasy novel. It's the easiest thing for me to pick up and work on after a hiatus.

A little more writing today, another 502 words on the fantasy novel. It may not sound like much at times, but in this busy part of the year, this story just topped 39,000 words. This is why I make it a goal to write whenever I can, however long I have. Consistent effort makes projects get completed.

Feeling quite a bit better today! Another 400 words made it onto the fantasy novel, though I had to reread a key section and tweak it a bit. That all comes with the territory for me. Some people can plunge straight through and then edit. This is how I work best. Whatever gets the writing done...✍️😉

Got a little writing done today, amid other things going on. I booted up the fantasy novel and added another 671 words to that. I don't expect to get a lot done tomorrow, I have a very important midday opthalmologist appointment and likely will get dilated and examined for quite a while. 👀👨⚕️

Took a few days off to get some stuff done. Went back to the pirate novel today, adding 1,050 more words. Over 15,000 words, about 1/4 done. Working subtitle is Coups De Main. I think my editor approves though I have to explain to her what everything means & that there are no mice or tunas involved.

In between all the other things I was trying to accomplish today, I got a little writing time in. I booted up the 11th pirate novel and put another 300 words on that. It was enough to move a scene forward!

I've been offline a lot during and Thanksgiving and afterward, trying to get some holiday shopping done. Also cleaning out files too. Not a lot of writing going on right now, but I'll be back at work as soon as I have things settled on my end. ✍️🙂

Pretty good writing afternoon, the words were flowing. I managed to get another 1,012 of them into the fantasy novel. I had a quiet household and some background music, which also helped.

Hard to believe a couple days went by without me writing. Thursday I had an afternoon dental appointment, Friday was about online banking, cleaning out files, and goofing off. 😏 Got some writing in today, another 703 words on the fantasy novel. Busy time of year with the big 3 holidays ahead.

My friend is finally home, he had some complcations along the way. Big relief hearing from him. Though I only got 800 words on the fantasy novel, concentrating on it was far easier today. We're all seniors now, so when someone goes into the hospital and you don't hear anything for 5 days, you worry!

Back on the fantasy novel-in-progress today. I added another 1,020 words. It started out slow but built up steam as the afternooon went on. Talking to the other half about roofing projects to be and checking up on an old friend who just had knee replacement surgery occupied my mind quite a bit.

All editing today. Right now I am off to my Zoom group for our weekly 'writer's reading our latest works' weekly meeting. It's a small group and very suportive, so no surprise that every single one of us is getting more stuff in print on a regular basis since we started back in the summer of 2019.

Today some of the family stopped over, so I decided to work on editing what I am reading to my Zoom group tomorrow night. I went over the first chapter in my second book in the Greenwood Cycle fantasy series. Did some more tweaking, it sounds pretty good. No word count for this though.

Yesterday had a dual afternoon vet checkup appointment for Belle the dog and Dora, the youngest cat. All went well but it killed my writing time. That's okay, fur family matters! 🥰 Today I got another 570 words on the pirate novel, so something got accomplished.

Yesterday (Tuesday) I went over the last chapter of my first published fantasy book and read it to my Zoom group. I plan to get that back in print, somehow...🤷♀️

Busy Sunday at the desk. Buckled down to writing on this gloomy rainy afternoon and put 2,311 words on the fantasy novel. When the words come in gushes, I can't type fast enough, and so I have to go back over and redo sections where I wrote gibberish. But it was a good session so no complaints!😊👍

Late start today, mainly because I didn't sleep well. But I got some writing in anyway, another 641 words on the fantasy novel. Another day on that and I will likely go back to working on the 11th pirate novel again. Switching off like that keeps me fresh. I rarely have dealt with 'writer's block'.

I had to go through some paperwork today, coordinate calendars for appointments, and pay a couple of lingering medical bills. Still got some writing in later in the afternoon, another 560 words on the fantasy novel in progress.
