I decided I'm doing a No News day tomorrow. I feel overwhelmed with sorrow from too many directions, it makes my heart heavy. I want to enjoy the holidays, simply soak in goodness and paying attention every day to the news this year has exhausted me. I still have loads of hope, I just need a rest.♥️

Let’s face it. That people chose a man with no morals, ethics, values or decency over a highly qualified woman (twice) is what destroyed the White House.

We could rebuild the East Wing, the Rose Garden and purge all his gaudy ornaments…but the stench of Donald Trump will persist for generations.

James Talarico: “They wouldn't be trying so hard to stop you from voting if your vote didn't matter — Texas is one of the hardest places to vote in the entire country. That is by design”

Data from World Inequality Report also showed top 10% of income-earners earn more than the other 90%

Democracy isn’t only defended in protests or elections, it’s defended in living rooms, grocery aisles, and our everyday choices.

None of us is powerless.

🧵 Let’s be so effing for real right now. The Department of Education saying these jobs are no longer PROFESSIONAL is dumb as hell and insulting as fuck. It takes YEARS of post-graduate training, including passing certifying exams, to earn degrees in these fields. #fdt #momsky

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

We don’t care if it takes down our fave celebrity

If you trafficked children, same

I don’t care what side you’re on

Yes, Mr. President: You’re right. We do have “the worst health care” of any major country.

Despite spending twice as much per capita, we are the only major country not to guarantee health care to all as a human right.

The solution: Medicare for All.

Shouldn’t we be asking “where is all that money DOGE saved us?” Billions slashed from agency budgets, but that funding was already appropriated. Where’s the billions in funding congress directed under the bipartisan infrastructure bill? Where’s that? It’s all papering accounts, but where is it?

A quorum in the House is 218. The dems have 213. If they get 6 reps to join them they can convene the House, depose Johnson and seat Grijalva. Then they can pass a budget, save Medicare and the ACA, pay SNAP, and release the epstein files.

It still boggles my mind that so many people couldn't grasp last year how significantly more morally depraved a second Trump term would be in comparison to the first. And how so many people still can't comprehend that our national crisis isn't about politics, but simple morality.

Cancel Amazon, Amazon Prime, Amazon Music, Amazon whatever, just don’t shop there.

But at the *very* least, boycott Amazon’s entire Black Friday weekend.

Look up the exact same product up by its vendor website.
Shop local bookstores.

We are the resistance! ✊🏽

Republicans can always be counted upon for making up ridiculous nonsense, but their claim that Americans need to be PAID by George Soros to show disapproval of Donald Trump is so shamelessly ludicrous. We gladly and eagerly hate him for free. And are willing to take the streets and parks to show it.
