I've not attempted granny squares before, but I'll have a look at it - We'll see how it goes! 🥳

This is lovely! I wonder how difficult it is for a beginner? Because I've been looking for nice summery bandanas everywhere and this one seems like the perfect project to get rid of some leftover stash!

Yes to all of this, but at the same time - I'm drawn towards making my own clothes as a way of saving money. Not because materials are cheaper, but because by making it myself I can elevate the quality. I can make something that is made to last, made to be mended and altered time and time again.

So I try to make sure that all items are in the best quality they can be, but also knowing that if they aren't wearable they will be used as rags, or something else! It's my favourite shop!

And yes, @embroideredyeti.bsky.social inspired me to join for Christmas 🙌 it was lovely!

I usually just drop them off at the local thrift shop, if they don't sell them in the shop, they are sent to countries like Ukraine and similar! They try to sell as much as they can since all money goes to support kids and families in eastern countries to buy necessities but nothing is wasted!

On that topic, if you have smaller children who still needs waterproof sheets you can layer them one atop the other for easy changes during nightly accidents! Especially valuable during the season of all sorts of fun bugs and flu's! 😅
Just pull the dirty one off, and you have a fresh one underneath!

Sorry, I got lost in all the holiday preparations and forgot to get back to you, but thank you so much for the tips, now I have a place to start looking around. I think I have a profile on mastodon.social, but I’ll admit it’s been a while so I might be mistaken!

Yay! That's awesome!!

I'm definitely as baby as one can get! 😂🙌 It's certainly a journey, but as with everything else - I'm hoping to settle into the craft soon 🤭

Hi! I've explored mastodon a year back (But then mostly in the art community) and kbin, but I never really found the good communities back then. Maybe it's time to go have another look around! Are there any specific communities you'd recommend? 🙌
