Finally found a way to sew patches on the kids' pants using my sewing machine (It's a real hassle still 🥴) so I've been dabbling with making my own patches for mending.
These have also been decorated with textile paints using homemade stamps.

I totally forgot to share my reading wrap-up for 2024!
Last year was the year I picked up reading again for the first time in.. Probably 10 years. Non fiction that is.
So far, I'm realising series like ACOTAR isn't for me anymore, but it did bring back my reading habit so I'm all grateful for it!

For day 6 of #mendventcalendar I made a spiderman patch for my youngest due to the favourite sweater had a big hole on one of the arms.

Another weekly visit to the local library, and a whole bag of knowledge to enjoy. In here I have books on homesteading, the history of grain in Norway, a knitting book for kiddo who’s on that crafting journey along with storybooks and comics since he goes through books so quickly these days. 📖

Both my kids have worn and outgrown these and now they’re going to the thrift store to be owned again, but they needed a little care and some #VisibleMending first.
This is my first attempt at blanket stitches so need a bit more practice but I’m happy enough with them so onto the next project! 🪡

I did it! I finished the trousers! They’re made extra long so they should last a while, and in an extra durable fabric to sustain the active lifestyle of 6 year old. 🤸🏼♂️
Now I just need to make like 5-6 more 😂
