I remember a professor telling me that CompSci used to be considered a “woman’s field” because it wasn’t one of the “hard sciences” which were for men. That is right up until men realized there was real money in it then they took it and started erasing women.

I drove by the Katie Hamlin Memorial bridge and out of curiosity Googled and found she a 15 yr old girl who was r*ped, murdered, and set on fire by Jameson Mangrum.
Shocked her father was trying to free her killer, but then realized predators do like to protect their own..
