I don't think anyone outside of universities, pharma and biotech, independent research institutions have any idea of what is happening right now. If you haven't sounded the alarm among your friends, family and colleagues, now is the time to do it.

If you want to find the email address or phone $ of an NIH employee (PO, GMS, other, ), NED has been the source. With NED down, its Google and hope.

There is not reason to do this unless they are blocking communications or blocking people from using folks disappearing from NED for tracking firings.

Also: all politics is local! Translate these stats to your local community -- how many neighbors, workers of all kind, patients, students are affected?
My talking points in recent interviews, please use as you see fit:
1.Every $1 in NIH funding returns ~$2.50 to the economy.
2.Every $1B in cuts from NIH extramural = 7500 lost employees, just in science.
3.These don't include priceless improvements in health.

as the world continues to crumble, I think that these preprint servers are going to be increasingly important as there is more censorship of speech! Support these initiatives!
Big news: we are setting up a new non-profit organization to run bioRxiv and medRxiv. It's called openRxiv [no it's not a new preprint server; it's dedicated organization to oversee the servers] openrxiv.org 1/n
Homepage - openRxiv
openRxiv is an independent non-profit, the new organizational home for bioRxiv and medRxiv, enabling researchers to instantly share groundbreaking findings with the global scientific community.
