Teacher, nerd about south Minneapolis and the queer and trans left; wrote Gay Inc: The Nonprofitization of Queer Politics.
I’m ranking Dwayne Davis first, then Fateh and Hampton. I will be thrilled if Fateh wins also, but I am compelled by Davis’ moral clarity and ability to articulate e a vision rooted in that clarity.
"People in Minneapolis truly care for our neighbors, our neighborhoods and our city...We have the potential to solve the pressing issues our city faces, if we elect an experienced, compassionate mayor who shares our care for each other."

This is just… the whole deal.
Trump: "I don't think we're necessarily going to ask for a declaration of war, I think we're just gonna kill people that are bringing drugs into our country. We're going to kill them. They're going to be, like dead."

I admit I don’t get the Greenland thing. Does Trump want it because Putin wants him to want it? Or for some dystopian climate change enabled drilling in the permafrost thing? Will someone explain this to me?

Wow, this is … I don’t even have words. I was working with trans youth experiencing houselessness when the CDC started counting trans women separately from men who have sex with men in approx 2006. Hard to believe we’re going back.

Again, likely lost in the shuffle of our descent into autocracy but over here in south Minneapolis the Frey administration is hiring the org at the heart of that weird Christian “anti-trafficking” film to… start?… consult on? the new “community safety center.” Totally normal stuff, I’m sure.
Should be disqualifying for anyone in Minneapolis leadership that has overseen hundreds of millions in lawsuit payouts. Mayoral challengers, this is tee’d up for you. “While Our Rescue has rebranded and hired new leadership, it continues to be named in a federal lawsuit.”
Seems typical for the city of mpls that they choose to work with a group from Utah... instead of local ones.

"Our Rescue, the focus of the film “Sound of Freedom,” plans to train police in a new city-run community safety center, drawing concerns."
