Every time someone suggests we "escape to Canada" I have to explain that it is not an option due to the disability exclusions. They are always shocked Pikachu about it.
Also the definition of a disability has a much lower threshold than what people think it does when it comes to immigration and becoming an expat. Especially in countries with socialized medicine. Even something like asthma can get you disqualified
As inauguration day approaches, a gentle reminder that people can’t just move to another country. Especially people living with disabilities.
Moving takes resources that most don’t have, and few countries will accept people with chronic health issues.

Currebtly sick as a dog (are dogs sick? Why is this a saying?). We don't have an ice machine fridge door thingy. But I needed ice chips.
Wife broke out a hammer and created some. This is why we are still married even though she's incapable of picking up a garden hose without spraying me.

I replied "Garbage!" and hugged her.
She stared at me while I took 3 seconds to realize I only *thought* "sorry you feel like trash - oh no, trash day was today cuz Christmas & I forgot to take down the GARBAGE."
She thought I called her trash & gave her a hug.
