Johnson’s refusal to seat Grijalva feels like a foreshadowing of this GOP plan to stay in power post-2026 regardless of the outcome of the election. This thread is about a well connected Oregon MAGA activist who just podcasted it out.
Two big GOP activists from Oregon were in DC last month for meetings with Trump admin officials. On their podcast they talk about a plan they discussed to nullify the results of Oregon's 2026 federal elections. Pass federal voter ID law, then refuse to seat OR delegation because OR didn't comply.

I co-wrote Trump’s first anti-terrorism plan in 2017-18. He’s not trying to stop “left-wing” terrorism. He is staging it.

His troop deployments are a false flag — meant to provoke a response in order to justify harsh crackdowns.

This is now very obvious.

It's deeply weird that people managing oceans of money still think Trump will NOT do what he clearly IS doing - imposing absurdly high tariffs on a whim. He loves doing this and no one will stop him! So why assume we'll see a sudden outbreak of sanity?

One of the things @kerryhowley.bsky.social describes people at DOD close to tears about is the possibility that Whiskey Pete will be in charge if, say, Israel were to attack Iran.

Just some exceptional timing for publication of this, I guess.

Donald Trump has disgraced the United States of America in countless ways since he first entered political life ten years ago.

But he had never disgraced the nation as badly as he did today.

He has brought shame on this country to an extent I had never thought possible. And he has only just begun.

MAGA Chaos agent anti-vax fraudster RFK Jr lied by saying it’s not unusual and measles outbreaks happen all the time.

There hasn’t been a Measles death in the US in a decade. They want to kill us all.

I really feel like the Bulwark people are increasingly aware that they're pretty much the only right-of-center commentators with moral values and a commitment to the constitutional order. In other words, they are classical liberals first, conservatives second, and Republicans last (or not at all).

He is at war with pluralistic democracy.
