‘It is no accident that all autocratic states make sure they control the means of information. There can only be one message-there is no alternative to the supreme leader, and of course no limit to their wisdom.’ (Will Hutton’s book This Time no Mistakes)

New episode here - great if you're studying Language Change and Language Discourses. And just great as Tony is on it.

Trump states ‘Gaza has to be built in a different way’ Suggestion try not bombing it to oblivion first and definitely don’t ship 2000kb bombs to Israel to continue this carnage

After Trumps vindictive inauguration speech and actions this week I have finally deactivated my Twitter account as know that it is just going to be full of the Muskrats delusional support for anything and become even more toxic. So it’s all in with Bluesky!

1.Just finished reading @andreawulf.bsky.social Magnificent Rebels and what a wonderful read. This book was given to me by an ex-pupil of mine when leaving 6th form- he had even taken it to the Hay festival to get the author to inscribe it to me. I learned so much from this book about the Jena Set.
