I recently saw The Cult perform in Brisbane, Aus. This is the song that started my love affair with their music and further exploration of Southern Death Cult and Death Cult. I think Ian mentioned this was their 51st gig on their tour…I was exhausted just from dancing all night! Love them. ♥️

Pretty sad that this is how historic buildings in Brisbane are treated.

Bin chickens in action in the Brisbane CBD. Ibis are such beautiful birds, so unfazed by all the chaos around them and incredibly well adapted to city life.

If you’re in Brisbane and you enjoy Thai food, check out Doodee Boran. Not only delicious food and friendly atmosphere, but killer murals in the driveway leading to it.

So, this happened the other day in Brisbane. 🧐

I have no excuse for ignoring the existence of The Vampire Diaries until now, but I’m enjoying catching up. Somerhalder‘s ‘Damon’ is one of the best vampires I’ve seen onscreen, up there with Skarsgard’s ‘Eric’. I obviously like my vamps sarcastic, darkly humorous, and ridiculously handsome.

Looking forward to retiring in an Aldi shopping trolley tiny home.

Japanese rock band formed in 1975 as Bow Wow, changed the lineup and became Vow Wow. Genki Hotomi had such an incredible voice.

On Australia Day / Invasion Day I saw Picnic at Hanging Rock at the cinema, a movie that eerily portrays the pointless efforts by white settlers to tame the Australian outback, accompanied by those hypnotic Gheorghe Zamfir pan flutes.

Just watched White Dress for Mariale (1972) for the first time.

Fabulous, vivid imagery. Gothic-style thriller with hints of madness to boot.

Loved it!

Ok still don’t like it much the second time around, but found the terrible acting really amusing. Assuming it was intentional and I just missed first time that it is a comedy.

God damn. RIP Denny Laine, original frontman for The Moody Blues and co-conspirator in Wings, two bands I grew up with.

Laine co-wrote one of the biggest-selling songs in UK chart history, Wings’ Mull of Kintyre.

Spotify seems to be all about exposure, but the famous musicians are the ones whose music is pimped more to Spotify users. So if it’s not making anyone money and promoting the already famous…🤷🏻‍♀️
“It’s my understanding that I had over 80 million streams on Spotify this year, so if I’m doing the math right that means I earned $12. So, you know, enough to get myself a nice sandwich at a restaurant.”
