Not really a man on a mission just another Twitter/X refugee.
I sometimes read the 0/1 star reviews people leave when Samsung shop tells me I have updates pending on all the Samsung bloatware apps which I never use, don't want but can't uninstall from phone. I think this sentiment is nearly universal?

Saw these in the Home Bargain earlier Kellogg's Crunchy Nut and Rice Krispies Squares Shower Gel. I didn't get the chance to have a sniff.

My village bus shelter wasn't as fancy as Sheringham's although as I just checked on Google, it's not there anymore. Nor is the awful modern telephone box which replaced our traditional red one which used to be at the crossroad. This image is from past 2009 Google maps. #Norfolk

My #Norfolk bluesky feed has moved on from protestor sit-ins as the Council tries to demolish Sheringham's 1950s bus shelter to first wild beaver spotted in Norfolk for 400 years. "No one knows where it came from?" ...hmmm just happened to find its way to Pensthorpe Nature Park, Fakenham?

I read online about how the Cults song "Always Forever" was inspired by the 2013 film 'Only Lovers Left Alive' which I'd never heard of before so I watched it earlier as well another Tilda Swinton film 'Orlando' (1992)

Having a quick Google, there's quite a lot of film titles with exclamation marks but I should imagine one of the first, if not the first is Harold Lloyd's 'Safety Last!' (1923). The TV compilation show 'Hooray for Harold Lloyd' (1977) was still on the telly when I was teenager in the 80s.

I watched GLASS (2019) last night which I didn't realise was the final film of M. Night Shyamalan's own superhero trilogy starring James McAvoy, Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis who barely said much through the whole film. I remember watching UNBREAKABLE (2000), didn't know there were sequels?

I watched another Marvel superhero movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). At 2hr 30min, I missed some of the film because I fell asleep – I woke up and it was still going. Amusing that 4 of the cast are Brits pretending to be Americans:
Tom Holland
Benedict Cumberbatch
Alfred Molina
Andrew Garfield

Seeing as my sleep pattern is still messed up and that's coming from someone who works days and night-shifts normally, I've been rewatching stuff I watched as a teenager back in the 80s. In this instance I've watched all The Young Ones which for people my age kinda set the template for student life.

I've got a slow cooker in the back of the cupboard I've only ever used once and I must've bought it years ago because it was £12 from when we had a Tesco Metro on County Road, Liverpool which closed in 2018. Anyway, I thought I'd try out this spaghetti bolognese recipe but it looks a bit meagre?

After living in a city for so long sometimes when I speak to friends and family back home in the village on the phone and they start talking all farmer stuff I imagine they look like this.

I do try a lot of these eco-friendly products if I see them on the shop shelves until they completely disappear never to be seen in the shops again. This Original Source hand wash despite smelling of old-fashioned lavender and rosemary smells lovely but plant-based products can be really slimey.

With the news of the death of Udo Kier I thought I'd re-watched My Own Private Idaho (1991) which I assumed I'd watched back in the 90s because I remember scenes from the film but it wasn't long before I realised I'd never seen it? The B-52's gets name-checked as does William Shakespeare as a writer

Of course it would help if I added the chart!

My (Platycerium bifurcatum) stag's horn fern has become pretty impressive and it's not even really very old as I bought it as just a small £1.99 plant in the supermarket? I don't really like it when people mount these ferns on boards and hang them on walls.

Catching up watching Alien: Earth - S1 E5 - In Space, No One - Is that spacecraft run by clueless retards or something?

I read David Mitchell's novel 'Cloud Atlas' when it first came out in 2004 and remember enjoying it. I don't really read fiction nowadays but I just watched the 2012 movie 'Cloud Atlas' and didn't really recognise hardly anything from the book?

I remember when I later moved to Liverpool around 1994 the first two CD singles I ever bought in the legendary Prode Records was Pulp's 'Lipgloss' and 'Do You Remember The First Time'. In Liverpool's huge HMV the first vinyl LP album I bought was: Pop Will Eat Itself - 'Dos Dedos Mis Amigos'.

Back when I was a teenager/young adult we'd spend hours in our two local East Anglian King's Lynn record shops: Andy's Records and Bayes Recordium. I wish I had one of these mock-up Bayes t.shirts but their website hasn't been updated for years.

When making small-talk with your peers over what was number 1 in the UK charts at the time of your birth, I always say for me it was Metal Guru by T.Rex. This is a bit of a lie as it was really the bagpipes 'Amazing Grace' by The Military Band of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guard.

I quit smoking donkeys years ago now but I still have a full, sealed old pack of Superkings Green (menthol), in fact this brand of cigarettes which only I and Dot Cotton smoked was discontinued years ago. I was really surprised at how easy quitting smoking was but I know it's different for everyone.

Back when Nirvana's Nevermind came out I bought all the 12" picture discs:
"Smells Like Teen Spirit" Sept 1991
"Come as You Are" March 1992
"Lithium" July 1992
"In Bloom" Nov 1992
Occasionally I look to see what they're worth now but value can be ridiculously high or low according to online shops?

In fact I did used to venture out from safety of the Queensgate shopping centre periodically because outside there was a second-hand record shop near the market where I bought all my old Butthole Surfers 12"s and EPs.

I remember as a teenager in the late 80s early 90s out shopping in Queensgate hermetically sealed shopping centre in Peterborough when leaving the as it felt then, futuristic setting it felt like you'd escaped the domed city in Logan's Run. By the way, there is no sanctuary.

Medellín, Colombia is probably more infamous as the city where Pablo Escobar was killed but it's full of abstract, chubby bronze sculptures by the artist Fernando Botero who'd I'd never heard of before.
