Big corporations like Exxon Mobil are literally begging the Supreme Court to bail them out. They’re claiming that being forced to publish their emissions data violates their precious 1st Amendment “free speech” rights.

Historian Rutger Bregman is a well-respected proponent of a universal basic income. The Guardian has called him “the Dutch wunderkind of new ideas.”

The BBC invited Bregman to give this year’s Reith Lecture series.

Before airing, the BBC removed one sentence from his lecture, “A Time of Monsters.”

Trump embraces pesticides after previously promising crackdown
Despite saying he would protect Americans from "harmful chemicals" like pesticides, Trump and his administration seem to be embracing them.

Another day, another TEN missed opportunities for the DNC to speak on behalf of Dems about the abomination of the day.

Mark Kelly shouldn’t have to defend himself alone.

The DNC, the national Dem PARTY should be speaking up for him and the other members of Congress all over the place.

Slowed? How about stopped. I started working at 14 for $1.25 hour. I am now 68 and min wage is $7.25. So min wage has only gone up $6 bucks in 54 years. Why does congress persist on keeping Americans dirt poor? When do we catch up to EU and be respected?

I am sick to death of the non-stop corruption. John Roberts created a monster and enabled the crimes he doesn’t even try to hide. Roberts and the MAGA on SCOTUS belong in prison cells next to Trump.

Right on!

Alabama finally has someone ready to fight for the Alabama instead of letting Tuberville, a non-resident drifter, run his mouth from Florida.

Doug is stepping in with actual roots, actual plans, and an actual stake in the future of the state.

So I’ve made it official folks: I’ve filed the paperwork to run for Governor of Alabama. It’s time to remind this state of who we are and what we can accomplish together.

Tyson is closing a Nebraska plant that employs 3,200 workers in order to “right-size” its business.

The meatpacking giant paid its CEO $22.7M last year, 525x its median employee's pay.

It also spent $196M in stock buybacks to reward shareholders.

Textbook corporate greed.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's resigning in time to get a pension is a lesson to everyone.

Most Americans don't get *any* pension anymore, but Congress gave itself a pension after only five years of work.

Our "representatives" aren't working for us, they are [barely] working for themselves.

Me on DOJ’s behavior: “it’s malevolence *exacerbated* by incompetence. That’s problematic enough for the government’s credibility before federal district judges. But at some point soon, one suspects that the Supreme Court itself may well have to grapple with its consequences—or risk being duped.”
194. Another Bad Week for the Presumption of Regularity
Three different flashpoints highlight how much the Trump administration has done, in such short order, to undermine its own litigation efforts and to damage—perhaps irreparably—DOJ's credibility.

I’ve watched as corporations and the super-rich flooded D.C. with campaign cash and ransacked our system.

It won't be easy, but here’s how we break the corporate oligarchy and return power to the people.
