Ever happened. Fingers crossed for no more Christmas disasters and I’m also hoping I conducted myself with enough grace toward the kiddo that he doesn’t feel he was a nuisance or unwelcome. Thanks for listening to my selfish human story. Feel free to berate me a little for selfishness 😖.

Asshole for allowing myself to have any resentment about my own schedule as we’re healthy and have enough of everything we need. The boys parents are also in country but they were “on a road trip”. I don’t know why I’m telling this story other than to just vomit all of my negative feels ctd

To to over the weekend and I had to hold his hand to get him back to the embassy on time for his appointment. I’m tired, I’m pissed and I’m really hurt that the parents of the boy we actually know didn’t even reach out to see if we needed anything to rectify the situation. I also feel like an ctd

CTD: The son of our friend called me to ask for help and then promptly took off for another part of the country. I had to house this kiddo for 3 days to wait for the embassy to reopen. He’s a good kid. Thoughtful, mostly tidy, etc but, he’s in the way of me doing all the things I needed ctd

Same thing happens to me every year too, like clockwork. Thankfully this year I happened a bit earlier and I’m healthy again for the holidays.

Gonna be honest here… as a child of the 90s there was an intervention staged with me at my place of employment to stop wearing low rise jeans 😂. I’m not a big fan of the super high ones because of food digestion but I now regularly make and wear my jeans above my belly button.
