Story time: 5 days (and the last weekend) before Christmas we had a situation dumped in our laps that we had nothing to do with but were forced to take care of. A friend of ours son is visiting as a tourist and brought 5 of his friends. One of the very young men in the group lost his passport.

Random thing no one cares about: I’m getting old which I consider a privilege… but struggling a bit with my health. I’ve been weight lifting all year and finally now able to deadlift 60% of my body weight as of today. Small progress is still progress.

I had a to-do list today. I over-estimated my abilities. These days I’m accepting the reality that sometimes my slow march culminates in some epic finishes and on those days I feel I have conquered my focus. That was not today.

I have used a lot of cashmere yarn in my life… in my mind, there’s only one brand that’s meant to last for more than a season or two of hard use. If you’re into being warm, but also having clothes that last a long time, there’s nothing better than June cashmere.
