It's great that reporting on the double tap has spotlighted the abject criminality of this Administration.

But don't forget: Venezuela is not waging war on America or Americans, and the men killed were not combatants.

The first strike was every bit as illegal as the second.

Stand up for the Constitution.
Mark Kelly: "The message he sent a couple days ago was he declared that loyalty to the Constitution is now punishable by death. Those are serious words coming from the president. He's trying to intimidate us. But I'm not going to be intimidated."

Americans are on the sinking Titanic.
We’re teaching the monsters how to win. We’re teaching them that if they lose in district court on SNAP, SCOTUS will give them an indefinite stay—as starving kids aren’t an irreparable harm, but Trump losing a political debate is.

Then Trump, armed with his new stay, gets Senate Dems to capitulate.

Why should our taxpayer dollars fund Trump’s corrupt actions?
In the wake of Trump disgracefully & corruptly seeking $230M in compensation for the investigations into his criminality—money that would come from us, the taxpayers—you might find relevant my story questioning our tax paying to fund this criminal’a actions.

Snapshot: We Are Funding Trump's Attacks on America
It's painful to realize Donald Trump is using our tax dollars to wage war against Americans

America had gone back in time to Kings.
Reminder that a bunch of Trump supporters got mad when NPR tweeted out the Declaration of Independence and they thought NPR was accusing him of stuff.

Don’t let democracy die because of apathy.
Sometimes we need a moment, but if you tune out completely, they win. Fascism doesn’t need your support, just your silence.

Not sure who needs to hear this but your “physical” isn’t “annual” if you need it twice in six months.

Judge Immergut quotes James Madison from the
Records of the Federal Convention of 1787: “A standing
military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The
means of defence [against] foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at
home.”

Trumpnomics: Get tariff money from US consumers on Chinese goods. Our farmers can’t sell their products because the Chinese refuse to pay our tariffs. China buys from farmers in Argentina instead. We send Argentina $20 billion. Then we pay our farmers to throw their crops away.

While the Speaker's role in swearing in new members is a long-standing tradition, it’s not an absolute power. If a Speaker were to block a swearing-in, the House could authorize an alternative official to do it instead. A resolution can authorize an alternative person to administer the oath.
