Omg

A. Making dog sweaters is not hard! The hardest part is doing the shoulder shaping with German short rows and it’s not a big deal!

B. Knitting and crochet are VERY DIFFERENT crafts.

Aaaaaaaaaugh

Now watching the second episode of Game of Wool and hoping praying that it’s better than covering a couch with super chunky. Really who knits with super chunky? Is it even made?

And Rowan must be a sponsor. (Stares at bag of Rowan felted tweed).

Ok, I am to the ‘team challenge’ of making a couch cover in 10 hours and I’ve gotten to my what the fuck point.

Eric is laughing at me.

Fourth opinion - knitting with super chunky yarn is not much of a competition

Second opinion - this show is terrible

Third opinion - I’m totally hate watching this

It reflects both the unpredictable nature of yearly flooding from the Tigris and Euphrates, and the constant warring of Ur period city states.

The Nile is so predictable priests would do this whole parlor magic trick around inundation. The Mesopotamian plain? Fickle, uncaring, and insane Gods.

I can’t imagine someone, say, performing human sacrifice to placate Hathor. What is a cow going to do with a dead human? And what is she going to do, unleash cows on your enemy? Oh noes the grass!

But you ask Shamash for a divination maybe he gives you one and maybe he just eats your head.

I’m not clear yet what happens if a hostile, alien, and terrifying law-giving Sun God notices your puny existence but fascinated to find out.

I assume nothing good.

This is such a different vibe from Egyptian Gods who didn’t really care about humanity. They just needed to be flattered and prodded to ensure the machinery of existence happened.

Bóttero is clear that no where in 3000 years does anyone say a God loves them. Gods like being loved! But you? No.

If they have all you can eat subscription pricing then sold American.

Sadly I hear the show is not good but I’d watch it just for steeking drama.
