Tuning out legacy media. Many independent media outlets continue to thrive and have seen a spike in growth.
Since the election, some disappointed in the results are tuning out the news media as a way to take care of themselves.
I haven't watched CNN in over 2 years. I stopped watching MSNBC 2 weeks ago.

aside from the dubious "lack of empathy" claim, it's quite odd to suggest randos on social media gloating over the possibility tariffs will hurt Trump voters are speaking for "the new Democratic establishment"
And (B), while this is slightly more vibes-based, I think the new Democratic establishment has failed to recreate the Obama coalition largely because of a lack of empathy for working people — and saying, effectively, “sucks for y’all, you biffed it, now suffer the consequences” ain’t gonna do it.

I no longer watch MSNBC also. I am especially disappointed in Morning Joe. He’s the first morning news o stopped watching when I heard about him and Mika bending the knee to Trump. Their pocketbooks first before the People. Their true colors came out quickly
