Theatre lover; Willy Shakes my world, actors rock it! Words to live by - multiculturalism, feminism, equality, freedom, family. Mad about genealogy!
Seeing the inside of far too many hospital and medical facilities of late! 😕

Four new tyres was not on my bingo card for this month. Two maybe, but not four! 😏

Genealogy is the most satisfying hobby. It can also be really frustrating but when you find those elusive records, break down brick walls or just find really juicy titbits of info about your ancestors (my family tree seems particularly juicy) then it’s the best thing ever!

I’ve been swimming regularly since the end of November for health reasons. I go 2 or 3 times every week. My hair has faded, my eyebrows are falling out, my skin drier than ever but last night I achieved a PB of 42 lengths!! First time completing over 40. I’m so happy! 🏊‍♀️

Just made a cake to take to work tomorrow - refined sugar and gluten free, it’s a bit of an experiment. I bet at least one of my colleagues will turn it down 😝 The icing is made from avocados, cocoa and honey. The cake is actually paleo. It’s a bit flat cos my tins were too big.

This week I received two of the nicest compliments I’ve ever had:
1) Someone asked if I was losing weight - I am - they said it showed. Cue big smile on my face!
2) I was told I was on a completely different wave length from everyone else at work. It was meant to be high praise and it made my day!

Journey to Stratford this evening was partially terrifying - followed a car through Leamington and Warwick which had no rear lights. Completely invisible when there were no street lights. Not been that scared driving for years!

Last minute cheap ticket for front row seat at preview of Christopher Marlowe’s Edward II at RSC proved to be an intense and slightly disturbing experience but excellent all the same. Love theatre!

Chap doing some work on my house today started going on about why do schools have a half term holiday when the weather’s not nice - apparently we don’t need a break because we have weekends. I have no words!

Went to the cinema to see Captain America: Brave New World yesterday. Enjoyed it. Can’t help thinking the world could use a few superheros right now!

After a quiet day with just me and my parents where I somehow managed not to have a full on rage whilst dishing up the dinner, the Gavin and Stacey finale was the perfect tearful end to a nice but slightly stressful day. I bloody love Nessa. Tidy.

Didn’t have getting stuck in my kitchen/lounge cos the door to hall & rest of house won’t open on my bingo card! Guess where the screwdrivers are kept? Luckily I had key to get out of back door & was able to call on my neighbour. Door now open minus the handle! Now to figure out what’s wrong 🧐

Some of the snow on my roof just slipped off and scared the living bejesus out of me! Sounded like a chuffing earthquake and has flattened all the plants in the front garden! 😱

Shared ownership is great until you find you have a faulty appliance and they say it’s your problem to sort out and not counted as a defect. Then you can’t get through to the helpline to book a repair for said appliance because it’s Indesit and they’re sh*t! Only flooded the new kitchen twice 🤬

Just had wheelie bins delivered to my new house. Never been so excited to have brand new wheelie bins! First time in 9 years I don’t have to separate my recycling into 4 different containers that then distribute it around the street before it gets collected!

My car alarm just went off … I didn’t even know it had an alarm!! 😱 Had to run outside in my bare feet to investigate because all my easy to slip on shoes have been packed away. Typical that it goes off the one time it’s not on my driveway.

Hoovering the bedroom floor with only half the hoover is hard work 🙄 The main foot bit has been packed because I forgot it wasn’t attached to the hoover 🤦‍♀️
