Ange's spurs into Europa final. Huge. Can't take that from him.
🚨👀 Ange Postecoglou on people trying to downplay the what it would mean if Spurs win the Europa League: “Some people are fearing that it might actually happen… and because it might happen, saying, let’s see how we can tear it down. Being in the final, this is massive”.

Great step towards 30 by 30 and achieving better long term outcomes for nature.
The federal government has announced a $250 million funding boost for Australia’s nature! This is a welcome and important step towards meeting our #30by30 goal.

We’re asking all political parties to commit to at least 1% of federal spending on conservation to protect nature for future generations.

the public will no doubt end up underwriting the insurance markets… but really it should be the fossil fuel companies.
1.9 million insurance policies have not been renewed, mainly due to the cost of climate crisis impacts. Home insurance markets in FL, LA, CA, TX are *crashing*

Big news from the west. 6.5 million hectares of new conservation areas across land and sea is definitely a big deal worth celebrating. Well done to the WA Govt on surpaasing this milestone.

Big news. WA leading the way - ground breaking 6.5 million hectares more protected areas in the last 5 years. An expansion the size of Tassie, good for partnerships with Traditional Owners, tourism and nature. www.canberratimes.com.au/story/885839...

Everything is fine.
So, what does the new GloSAT temperature dataset look like back to 1790?

There are obviously lots of gaps in the early period but the patterns of change are very similar to existing datasets.

Again, there's a reason this is never substantiated with specific examples.

Name an NGO, major environmental body or organisation, climate / enviro funder, grassroots organisers etc whose core position is to generally oppose all wind/solar projects regardless of each project's merit
This place is too cozy, so let me be a little provocative:

In the last 5 years or so, the climate movement had the opportunity to pivot away from No No No (fighting/blocking things) to Yes Yes Yes (supporting abundance, more RE, more housing, more building).
