Good point! Citing the words of the great @darthputinkgb.bsky.social: don't believe anything unless the Kremlin denies it!

Sounds plausible, but an example would be very helpful in order to understand the idea.

Care to add one?

"Russian Offense Minister".

There, fixed that for you.

There are Christians all over the world; they mostly don't think or behave like MAGA Christians. So yes, "some Christians" is actually quite appropriate.

I guess you must be particularly unlucky to be *bitten* by a scorpion, instead of just being stung by one.

Only in Russia, I suppose...

And this image is labeled by Bluesky as "graphic media"? Come on, it should be posted all over the place!

One of your best in recent days, Ann, thank you so much!

A good sample of responses in the post below. As I say in the interview, we have to understand the MAGA coalition as a collection of disordered counterpublics looking for Trump to get to the "truth" they're seeking. Not all are Trump first.

An unusual sight: President Trump is getting ratio’d on Truth Social for asking his followers to move on from the Epstein files. Some say he’s “gaslighting,” others say it will cost him supporters or even “kill MAGA.” A sampling of some replies getting heavy engagement.

If they are peddling the "victory in the battlefield is impossible" narrative, it's because they actually fear that Ukraine will win the war. Do not believe anything until the White House denies it!

Surely this is clear to many, but it's still worth saying: No, of course the Kremlin knows this is far from the truth!

They're just saying this in an attempt to manipulate the Americans, which, by the way, worked often, but we don't need to believe it!

You probably have the impression that I'm currently living in the metro. Well, I have such an impression too, to be honest.

Interesting, I didn't know this phenomenon had a name, thanks for the link!

I still find it mystifying that people seem not to be able to wake up from this dream in this day and age. Maybe believing in the good tsar gives them some comfort in an otherwise desperate situation, who knows...

The appeals to the authorities or, more commonly, to Putin himself, always surprise me.

Do they really believe Putin means good and would help them "only if he knew what's going on"?

A truly excellent summary of your thinking, thanks a lot!

I also really wonder how to spread this message, we are in desperate need of it being heard.
