These can actually give people a quality of life. We should provide all of the information to our patients and allow them to make an informed decision. These should still be accessible to those who need them.

One might have thought they’d consider the risk of trauma to those with disabilities to be of paramount importance.

This. I only have 1 cavity so far, and I think having only 1 cavity is due to the fluoride in it. I confess that I drink tap water due to laziness, but I prefer to brush my teeth with tap water.
I much prefer drinking tap water because of the flouride in it. It's essential for your oral health. A healthy mouth equals a healthy body.
