Love everything that’s going on here at this intersection in Pompeii. Marble public fountain, religious shrine, water tower (for regulating pressure from the aqueduct), public gathering space, and stepping stones! Intersections are where much of the action is in Roman cities. #archaeology

The Baths of the Seven Sages are a public bathing complex in Ostia Antica, ancient Rome’s port city. Named for frescoes depicting Greek philosophers, it features a rotunda with a well-preserved mosaic floor in its frigidarium (cold room) dating to the Hadrianic period (117-138 CE). #mosaicmonday

I figured some of my followers might enjoy a timeline cleanse. I have been watching a family member’s dachshund while they are on vacation. Here he is happily running and playing ball.

The Fisher (Furness) Fine Arts Library at Penn. Spent many hours reading and studying there. The architecture truly inspires one to learn.

Visited a local produce farm yesterday. Brought home onions, carrots, a watermelon, corn, peaches, sweet potatoes, and more. Made a great vegetable soup for dinner last night!

Enjoyed watching the Astros win against my old hometown Phillies last week. Lots of changes this year, but the team is doing well at mid-season atop the division.

Going to see #Metallica for the third time tomorrow. First was in ‘93 with Faith No More and GnR at The Meadowlands. Second was in SF in 2017 (I think). Excited to see them again and go with my daughter this time! Visited the pop up merch store in town. Fun experience.
