I hope they also sue the county for not using the early warning system that had been previously used.

And that is the most likely reason they caved.

Yes, because shame works so well as a disincentive in politics. Give me a break.

@chrismurphyct.bsky.social speaking the truth here. Senate Dems should listen.

Looking at you @schumer.senate.gov. If she declares for the primary, because you couldn’t hold your caucus together, the amount of money she raises will dwarf anything you could imagine, and she knows it.

Maybe he wants AOC to run against him because he can’t bring himself to retire. If she runs, the amount of money she will raise. Oh boy.

Shouldn’t every interview question start with “Because the President, the Speaker of the House, and the Senate Majority Leader won’t negotiate to earn the votes they are demanding Senate Democrats make for the Republican spending bill…”

The political spectrum is a circle not a line. The far right and the far left meet at authoritarianism/totalitarianism. Both seek to control society in all its forms.

One of my favs. For those who want to get hands dirty, there’s an active project that takes students and volunteers at the same site: www.archaeological.org/fieldwork/me.... 2026 dates not announced but can still inquire to join. I know the project directors and can speak highly of the project.

It seems to me that, with extended life expectancies, boomers of all political persuasions in politics are clinging to power longer than any generation before. Has anyone done a generational study on the average age at retirement from Congress or State Legislatures say starting at 1900 forward?

Yes, OpenAI is committing to spend money it doesn't yet have with pretty much everybody. Will be interesting to see how this plays out and whether cloud providers might have to write down bad contracts later.
November 3, 2025 at 7:26 PM
It will be interesting to see how many of these deals hold given that OpenAI doesn't have the revenue to support these types of cash outlays. Sure they'll say not yet, but buying forward capacity can be a risky strategy for both the buyer and seller in my experience.
