The problem is that no theory can adequately factor in the TIME CUBE!

Given there are at least two separate timeline conspiracy theories it gets even more complicated!

Also, has anyone considered the possibility that JTT deliberately slouches in order to hide their Chuck Tingle height?

The number of times I’ve waved my contract in the face of a steward demanding an upgrade, only to be seated in economy is uncountable! (largely because the number of times is 0)

Well deserved! Although it’s disappointing that airlines don’t a) accept it as a title and b) because of a no one thinks to give you a gratis seat upgrade

I suspect this is because most people are specialists in only a subset of conspiracy theories, so they would only be able to plot one or two. Plus some of them (the Protocols, for example) are so convoluted that the one example would probably overwhelm the chart for the period from 1880 to the 1940s

Livia Stan has some work on Romanian conspiracy theories both and just after the communist period, and Thalmann has a book on the history of the term since the 1950s. Although I dispute some of the historical stuff she relies upon to date it to that late a period

Another work worth looking at, although once again it is US-based, is Kathryn Olmsted’s book “Real Enemies.” She’s an historian and her book looks at the conspiracy theories either believed or promoted by the US government over the course of the 20th Century

This work is largely limited to the US, but there is also some work on this in the UK, looking at conspiracy theory allegations in the parliamentary Hansard. I also know that Marc Wilson, at whatever the university in Wellington currently calls itself, has some data going back about 2 decades for NZ

So, Joe Uscinski and Joe Parent wrote a book on conspiracy theories over the course of the 20th Century in the US called “American Conspiracy Theories” and Uscinski works for Pew Research and thus has done work on polling on conspiracy theories in the US since the 1960s. So that work does exist…

You think losing socks in the washing machine is a problem, but I took my invisible socks off and now I can’t see them anywhere!
