After 4 days of barely eating a jar of baby food and lots of $$$ I don’t have on an ER visit and cardiologist appointment and no answers, someone just up and decided to eat a little dry food!

15 years ago I came in 2,961st place at the Philadelphia marathon with a time 3:50:22. My first and (sadly) last marathon.

No real answers yet just an unsuccessful appetite stimulant. In the past 3 days she’s eaten a little baby food (for real) but that’s it. Going in to see the cardiologist (for real) today to hopefully find something out. Aside from not eating and being a little weak, she’s still very Paisley.

It’s been a long day during which I got nothing done that I had planned. Now I’m exhausted after 4+ hours at the pet ER (no concrete answers, but her bloodwork is OK and she has an appetite stimulant). So now I’m crashing and watching Howl’s Moving Castle.

I’ve been baking for years and have made many, many cookies but this is my go-to recipe (if you can read it; obviously can ignore the sprinkles and M&Ms and do what you want). I think it gives them a perfect texture.

Y’all. My wife always makes me an amazing birthday cake, but this one for my 40th is insanity. It’s a chocolate cake, each cake layer has a NUTTER BUTTER CRUST, there are layers of edible peanut butter COOKIE DOUGH, and a chocolate CARAMEL butter cream. I wish I could share it with all of you.

A little reminder that I'm making my triumphant return to AWP this year after a 7 year absence. I've met and worked with so many of you online since then and I'd love to meet y'all in person. I'm also very open to reading if you need someone to (probably) read some surreal ekphrastic prose poems.

Every now and then I like to remind folks that this movie exists, it is amazing, it is one of the best movies of the last 10 years, and it completely broke me. I don't think many people saw it because it's on Apple TV.

Throwback to 11 years ago when me and two friends briefly ran a chapbook press. We made two books. I letterpress printed the cover of the first one. Might have some copies kicking around here if anyone *needs* one.

Trying to think of ways to reinvigorate Postcard. I know I've been quiet on that front for the past few months (life gets in the way), but also interest seemed to drop with each issue which hasn't helped. Maybe a return to a very limited, <100 stock like issue 1? That's all I got...any other ideas?

I will forever throw back to 2010 and my second greatest Halloween costume: the Emperor of Ice Cream. I don't have a better pic but I made epaulets that looked like scoops out of a spray insulation material. There ended up being 2 other Wallace Stevens poems at that party because...poets.
