What does it mean to be a rank and file activist or a shop steward? It means to stand up for-and stand next to a brother or sister who has been wronged, whether it is an offense done by the company or by the negligence of the union. Teamsters do this even if they are threatened.

The Secretary of Drinky is hell bent on reenacting the Trial Of Billy Mitchell. Mitchell was a seriously flawed person who was punished for his tragically prescient views on the future of air power. Captain Kelly is a far more formidable opponent and this will not end well for the Brylcream warrior.

It is going to take decades to mitigate the damage caused by trumpism. The colossal grifting, collusion, bigotry, and betrayal of our allies, all dressed in religious idolatry and the iconography of patriotism are entrenched in our culture and diminishing them will be a marathon of truth telling.

I’m not about to start singing the praises of MTG. I’ll give her grace for supporting Epstein’s victims, but they were trump’s as well. He may think he’s going to live forever but she has realized he is wrong and MAGA will need a new leader when he’s gone.
