A couple of episodes in, I was half-considering ditching this final season and catchcing up later through recaps. But then this absolute icon made a reappearance.

My opinion is that you'll find it mildly enjoyable if you enjoy any of the actors involved, but if you have a fondness for the Brooks movie, you'll still prefer that one.

This film's afterlife has a mission statement that both seems underbaked ("Welcome to death! Have a great time and all the sex you want in a paradise of your choosing!") as well as capriciously stringent ("No takesy-backsies!").
