There is increasingly a febrile climate in which democratic politics is under attack from extreme, violent forces. There needs to be unequivocal and robust pushback against threats, violence and destruction, including online.

Once again: even if vacating X is too much of a leap for the government to contemplate, cross post! There are apps (Fedica, Buffer, others) that allow you to send the same message to every site with no more effort. Call it being "platform-neutral". Help non-death-threat platforms to grow.
It’s wild. If a journalist accidentally said, e.g. the names of a minister‘s school age children on air, Downing Street would rightly lose it, yet death threats, conspiracies about the PM’s marriage, racism against ministers…all fine apparently!

‘The Government is expected to urge universities to shake up their business models to make them less reliant on foreign students’

OK, so what is the business model you’ve got in mind? Are you planning to raise tuition fees?

Plus you know research is not fully funded and is cross subsidised?

2025 Local Elections Expected Declaration Times:

Probably best to get an early night on Thursday, with no councils expected to be fully in before 7am.

That being said, 4 of 6 Mayoral races will be counting on the night, as well as the Runcorn & Helsby by-election.

Thanks a lot to the Reading hierarchy. Failing to get a takeover done has now resulted in losing the most important person at the club.

Best of luck to Ruben, a bright young coach who is destined for a great career. #ReadingFC

Starter packs are genius, but I was surprised there wasn't a list of them for people to find.

So I built it:
blueskydirectory.com/starter-pack...

The website monitors the packs being shared and adds the ones it finds to the database.

Missed your stater pack? Message me and I'll get it added.

Hi - I've drafted a starter pack for UK-based journalists and news organisations, with a bias towards news and politics. Apologies to anyone missed. There's a limit of 50 entries per list, so will start work on a Starter Pack #2 soon
