Tasmania has 104 State Servants suspended for child sex offences.

Not one of these 104 individuals has been charged.

Not a single person of the 104 suspended for alleged child sex offences has even been investigated

Tasmania is a paedophile haven.

Why are character references allowed in rape trials?

I would have thought trials were based on the defendants actions that led them to being charged rather than biased opinions of friends/family who are biased and/ or rape apologists.

There the answer Shane, the paperwork doesn’t get completed, charges never get to court, no one ever gets placed on the sex offenders register and everyone keeps their jobs. 🤬

The AYDC building has changed, but the state sanctioned child abuse culture remains.

Not one AYDC rapist has been investigated, not one.

Will the State recoup this settlement from the perpetrators or those who allowed this to continue?

Or is it another cost of criminality imposed on the entire community to protect the guilty & complicit?

Absolutely disgraceful and totally inappropriate......$75 million settlement and where are the court cases for the perpetrators ? Are they still employed ? Are they still being paid ? Not good enough .

It would be nice if the Tas Govt held Ashley's child abusers to account instead of protecting them.
This is what whistleblowers achieve.

Justice.

Why are some being persecuted by our Government - like Richard Boyle, standing here in solidarity with Ashley whistleblower and former staffer Alysha, survivors and their lawyers?
Huge result today for Angela Sdrinis Legal in Tasmania’s first (and now first successful) class action. Her settlement means 129 Ashley detention survivors share in $75 million compensation for their abuse at the state’s hands. Judge called her work exemplary. #politas
It’s time to close Ashley.
