Trump just rescinded an Executive Order issued by President Biden to lower prescription drug costs for people in Medicare and Medicaid.

Trans rights are human rights. Trans children aren’t cheating at girls sports. Trans gender folk are not predators in the locker room/bathroom. Stop trying to build a boogeyman to distract from the actual harm in your community.

The work continues. Whether the election went one way or another at the federal, state or most importantly the local level, the work continues. Grab your boots and get back in the fight. Be the change you want to see.

I am concerned that this chatter like WSJ OpEds, Hannity pieces, and Economist articles about cutting VA and veterans benefits are trial balloons. They’re shaping the discussion so anything short of cutting all of our benefits, healthcare, and closing the VA is a “compromise.”

I want to be an effective advocate. I also want to tell people how I really feel, about an issue and about their response or action to the issue. It is getting very hard to keep it classy when the people in power are monsters.

When I was a child, I learned that the Constitution didn’t apply to people like us. I said the Pledge of Allegiance from inside a barbed wire camp, the words “with liberty and justice for all” wholly meaningless.

But I did not give up on America. I’ve spent my life fighting for its ideals.
