As in almost everything, Terry Pratchett expressed it perfectly. In this case, a discussion between Death and his adopted daughter Susan:

I’m wondering how much this year’s results argue more for a 16 team playoff, not a 12 or 8.

2024 was the last NWSL college draft. Funnily, it felt like the first one the NWSL did well, as far as media coverage goes.

They’ve got 3 salary cap exempt contracts for 2026 that I’m aware of already. Maybe they’re going to put it all into a huge player no one has thought of yet?

I’m a little sad my team
Can’t collect them all, but we need at least one Stanford player after losing two last year. I hear Kiki Pickett is a free agent…

I was thinking maybe they called a foul on Lily, cause the defender was challenging Lily, not Lindsey. I never saw the contact clearly on the replay, though. There were too many bodies in the way.

I think the last team to steamroll was Cat, Soph, and Nay for Stanford… Still too a heavy lift to win the whole thing.

There was a stat today that Stanford has 14 different players with a goal or assist in the post season. Which has only been 6 games?

Is it the league that failed to protect them? Or their coaches who failed to rotate and protect them?

Fair argument for both, considering that midday KCC/OP match, but KCC had 26 matches and Orlando 30. Arguably, Gotham and Spirit are here tonight because they rotate well. Is salary cap to blame?
