I love the faraway, silhouetted ruins in Inside that you can’t explore, because they scintillate. If I could actually go into every dark corner, the pleasantly opaque mystery of its world would go flat.

I haven’t found a retail one that has really done it for me! I’m always looking for like a bagged version of Malay ikan bilis. Most of the actually crunchy brands achieve it with lots of sugar, which isn’t what I’m after.

Everyone I tell this to dunks on me, but I realized recently that it’s a great road trip food. Stop at a roadside Safeway and grab a cup from the deli… Perfectly snackable. Beats deep-fried brown food which is all you get at drive-thrus.
