@mrjamesob.bsky.social That 21 yr old caller (sorry, didn't catch the name), was so insightful and articulated what happened to him and how it can happen to young people so incredibly well.

It also made me think how 'compassion for the conned, contempt for the conmen' applies here too...

Corruption corruption corruption... we live in a world where certain people use their positions of power to steal our money and enrich themselves and their friends.

That money doesn't come out of thin air though...we pay for it in many different ways.

So Nigel Farage has chosen to explain away Trump’s outrageous remarks about President Zelensky instead of doing the right thing and condemning them. Deeply disappointing but not at all surprising.

He sounds like a spokesman for Trump. He certainly doesn’t speak for Britain.

There's a rumour that Nigel Farage is keeping his head down because he's off to a Trump cheerleading conference over the weekend.

I’m afraid I’m being proved right- Farage is far more interested in Trump's success than British security. He is a bootlicker and a plastic patriot.

Who would let Trump and his cronies negotiate on their behalf?

He would sell your grandma, grandpa, cats, dogs and baby for a McDonalds meal deal!

Imagine if aliens invaded Earth...and obviously the US in particular. Do you think Trump would fight back and protect the US and the world from the invaders?

Or would he cut some deal with the aliens to save himself? 🤔

If you believe it couldn't possibly happen over there...if you believe it couldn't happen over here. Well, that just makes it easier for them to get it done.
This is what should be on every front page right now. What's happening in the US right now is an illegal power grab by a private citizen. IT'S A COUP.

It's a digital coup. It's Musk who's leading it. The consequences are terrifying. And it's coming for us next.

But the populists and right wing will sell it to the poor by telling them it will be great for them 🙃

So if I've got this right, Trump gave loads of tax money to tech AI bros that told him it would cost $500b dollars

China looked at that & decided it would be the perfect time to show their AI development has cost a fraction of that and is just as good & much lower in energy consumption

The more fascism is allowed to creep in, the harder it is to fight it off.

There is a lot about the dangers of AI, especially in the wrong hands

The key players in the development of AI seem to be aligning with Trump and the far right

Those seem to be the very wrong hands you wouldn't want being in charge of AI development

Doesn't that represent a huge danger to us all?
