Finally got my long time grail game Millenium Blades to the table. Abstraction can be a dirty word in the hobby but where most games abstract theme in the service of mechanics, MB abstracts mechanics in the service of theme.

I love the idea of boss battlers, but don’t really care for how they’re implemented in board games. There was a PC game that came out forever ago called Warning Forever. I loved its simplicity and wish there was a board game kinda like that.

Right now I’m wrestling with the largest PHG project to date, but I picked up a copy of Burning Banners as a treat. Not allowed to touch it until the project is done. Cannot wait.
