Once you understand that in Capitalism things cost whatever the owners want.

And that for the last 50 years a handful of the richest have been taking control of all the essentials, Housing, Food, Energy, Telecoms, Banking...

You will understand things will only get worse

UK gambling industry made £15.6bn in 2024 (£16.8bn in 2025)

Most companies holed up in Gibraltar & Malta, dodge UK taxes. Some pay corporation tax at the rate of 3%-4%. No VAT on gambling.

Public bears the cost of gambling addiction.

Firms resent paying extra tax to clear their mess.

Tax them.

UK govt can save over £20bn a year by ending payment of interest on commercial banks’ central bank reserves.

Subsidy implemented after the 2007-08 crash. Banks are very profitable.

Since 2023, the EU stopped paying interest on central bank reserves.

UK can find better uses of £20bn+.

🚨🚨Outstanding public service work by @chrischirp.bsky.social in collecting and forensically tracking the fairly radical decline of American democracy under the #trump presidency. Strongly recommend following this. 👇
The Trump Action Tracker has an update!

Main change is to break down the five authoritarian domains into ten - this allows for easier understanding of why actions have been logged and more tools for searching / filtering the now 1621 actions.

In 2024, UK’s big four banks HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds, & National Westminster made £45.9bn profit.

Since 2021/22 profit margins up by 21%.

2022 -2024: Big four banks paid £124bn in dividends, £32bn in share buybacks.

They oppose possible tax increase, publish misleading tax numbers.

Tax them.
Why the banking industry is not a paragon of free markets, efficiency, or honesty
Despite making record profits and paying record returns to shareholders it resents paying taxes.

OK Ladies,

Please check out this lady. She was brilliant at informing the UK what was really happening during pandemic.
She is now scientifically logging every Trump act, policy change, EO, everything to keep an archive for posterity but also for real time analysis.

So, Sunday Times runs with latest poll showing Farage winning if there was an election now. But makes NO mention of Reform’s collusion with Russia. And this is how democracy gets beaten to death in the dark. Voters are not being told the truth. Reform is given the stage but is NEVER held to account.

Farage is applying for a job.

That job is Prime Minister.

The only thing on his CV is Brexit.

He campaigned for it for 27 years.

So his only real track record is making everyone poorer & damaging the NHS.

If you hire Nigel & Reform, you must want this company (UK) to fail.

Many people I admire believe firmly in ID cards, or have grown to accept them. This is why they're wrong.
