Teacher, baseball fan, UGA grad, and family man. Trying to be a good person, sometimes I succeed and sometimes I have to try again.
The closer I get to 40 the more I like salads. Life is good.

Found out this weekend that my wife and I are in our friends will to take their kids if something should happen to them. We must give off pretty good adulting vibes to be considered for that. Now, please pray that nothing happens to my friends, ever.

Lots of disappointing things but perhaps this is the most disappointing and disturbing.
Worst of the worst. And what a large majority of Americans oppose.

"Lawyer for Enrique Tarrio, the former leader of the Proud Boys...said Tarrio is currently being processed for release from a federal prison."

Other Proud Boys also called to sign release papers.

Four years ago I was still trying to process what I’d seen on TV that day. Tonight, I went and paid respects to President Carter. I wonder how things will look four years from now.

Just saw where a friend called Athens, GA semi-rural. Trying to figure out what makes a city of 128k people, not including the student population of >37k, “semi-rural”. It’s the sixth largest city in the state, not including the students.

Over the coming days, weeks, and months, I’ll continue to judge whether somebody is capable of having a decent political conversation based on one simple test: do they think President Carter was, “a great person but horrible President”.

I’ve got two followers here. Do I get to five before everybody switches back to the other platform?

I’ve got a pretty bad memory, so it always surprises me when my wife asks me to help her remember something.

You know who has a good memory? Siri. “Hey Siri, remind me tomorrow at 6pm to…”

Thanks technology.

One Christmas a student brought me some hoop cheese as a gift. I took it home and the dog ate it. Sometimes I still think about it.
