Teacher, baseball fan, UGA grad, and family man. Trying to be a good person, sometimes I succeed and sometimes I have to try again.
As a fan, this was telegraphed so clearly. What a disappointment. Nothing to be excited about, keeping players who will walk in the offseason with no return.

Obviously winning

Maybe if we had better basketball success. I’ve always said UGA willing a basketball title would be my favorite championship, outside of baseball.

Or, hear me out here, learn something new. You can’t ask for folks to respect your hobbies and interests without at least reciprocating. Be well rounded nerds, not the nerds that missed every football question on Jeopardy!

I’m not typically one to think things are broken but man, the Dodgers are crazy. Yes, other owners need to step it up with spending but this is otherworldly.

What can be done about this? Seems to have really increased recently. Seems pretty unsportsmanlike to me.

Braves… 🙄

I remember reading the signing day reports and thinking, “Hmm. Funny name, too bad we will never hear it.”

100% this. There’s no doubt that if Andruw’s career peak was from 24-35 instead of 19-30 he’d be in. Folks knock him for falling off after 30 without recognizing how otherworldly he was from 21-25, an age when folks were generally just getting up to the bigs in that era.

Best answer is to bake it into the NIL deals. Diminished payment if you don’t partake in all games that you can participate in unless there is a health issue.

Amazing to think he’d give up coaching the in NFL to join the NIL, transfer portal, all year recruiting monster that is NCAAF.

I’ve built off of this.

Each person that replies all to an email pays each recipient $5.

Seems to be one of the few things most of us can agree on. This would give a huge advantage to some teams. Nobody wants to engineer the matchups. Let them happen.

True, but man he kept that WHIP manageable. Didn’t know if you were also taking into consideration how short his average start was (5.5 innings per start for career). As the game continues to evolve, do you think we will continue to look at innings pitched when deciding if we call somebody an “ace”?
