Me, to myself every Sunday night:
“Tomorrow you will embark on another journey to the world of neurotypicals. Remember, you do not understand their culture and ways and they do not understand yours. You are a guest there, please do your best not to offend them by being culturally insensitive.”

if your writing is good and i want to share it, but it's on substack, i won't.
substack intentionally uses your subscription fees to recruit and fund fascists. they pay them huge signing bonuses before they've earned a dollar.
they don't just platform them, they create their platforms

I will miss ~hearing from~ these creators.
There’s been so much perceived collective loss over the last few months and it feels like things are picking up speed.
Most days I’m doing my best to ignore it and focus on hope and joy within my immediate community.

Me too. So much. I ignored the fact that it would happen until now.
Now I realize that I will miss heating for so many autistic creators. These parasocial relationships have bright me so much comfort and community in the last 3-4 years.

Think the TikTok ban is gonna crush me.
TT has been an important space for me the last 2 years, it’s helped me understand myself so much more with all the content from the ND community.
If you think I’m overreacting, then you don’t get what’s great about TT, and this post ain’t for you.

Did my First spin class today.
My review: sweaty and boring. The worst parts of riding a bike and also you’re in a nightclub at 6am with someone yelling at you.

Bluesky feels like I took a Time Machine back to 2009 when I was still like “Hey this social media thing is going to make the world a better place.”

Just finished reading String Female Character by Fern Brady.
It is so good.
It’s a first hand account of undiagnosed and untreated autism. Her takes on being neurodivergent are so gracious and understanding of context, but don’t pull any punches.

Today’s episode showed how tricycles were manufactured. Fred had such a knack for finding wonder in everything.
“Oh isn’t that marvellous,” he’d say as Mr. McFeeley described some random step in the process.
And it was marvellous! He was right!

Watching Mr. Rogers with my kids is one of my very favourite things about being a dad.

Is there any app or open source project that can take a bunch of calendar feeds to merge them all to create one single feed that I can put into my work calendar for availability reasons?
