Comic book reader and enjoyer of all comic related media (yes even that one). He/him. Make mine Moxie!
I work from home and love it, but today I was reminded of one little drawback, I can't brag about my family to my co-workers. My son (15) who plays 3 varsity sports as a sophomore just got his first quarter grades. 93, 90, 90, 98, 98, 100, 100.
I am overflowing with pride and had to share somewhere

@ryanarey.bsky.social just saw your WTF Doomsday trailer news. What if the other Doom variants are shown as losing to Kang before RDJ Doom beats the Council?
Also, I kinda want to see T-Rex Doom on the big screen.

@danielobrien.bsky.social thank you for your Emmy acceptance speech pointing out how lucky you are to be able to write late night comedy. I hope you can continue to do so for a long time. Congratulations on your win!

@mastertainment.bsky.social sad to not see you on here more often. It kinda sucks that X is still necessary for creatives like you cause I can't see myself going back. Do you post anywhere else?

You know how I know Facebook doesn't want facts? I saw a post from a friend with some BS claim that I won't give any time here, and switched to another tab to look up the facts so my reply would be correct, when I switched back the feed "updated", the post gone.
Designed to prevent fact checking.

No matter the situation there are always spots of light if you stop and look. I'd like to brag about my daughter who's team of middle school girls won the Netscout Hackathon this past weekend. Their project was a resource website for anxiety, something all of us could use.

Reading the new FF after Dr. Doom took over the world. I wonder if any of this is based on recent events in the US?

I was just on a cruise. I was in the Gulf of Mexico and could eat all the eggs I wanted. Now I got back and apparently it's the Gulf of America and eggs are more expensive than ever?

Remember when MapQuest was the only answer? Maybe we need to go back?

Another year, another non-lethal Scout Winter Trek. It was close this time but my son took the lead and showed us all up breaking trail with extra weight to help others.

After Elon proudly performed not one but two Nazi solutes I finally pulled the trigger and deactivated my twitter account. As someone with Jewish and German ancestry I should have done it for sooner.

Gotta love when a friend who I talk to every day decides to share an anti-lgbtq picture and wonders why I'm being "so sensitive" when I call them out.

Not crazy about saxophone Star Spangled Banners, but I did like the bald eagle fly over.

"Seriously, I don’t care how much it costs. Take every dime I have. But know this: I would level my house to the ground before I paid slightly higher property taxes to fund infrastructure that would prevent a landslide from leveling my house to the ground."
I Will Pay Any Amount to Not Pay My Taxes
I’ve gotten myself into a bit of a jam. A series of natural disasters is barreling towards my home, and there is a severe shortage of resources and...

Why do the two "star crossed" football fans in the Dr. Pepper commercials have more chemistry than most movie couples?

Had a good night sleep last night for the first time this year. Cold is finally winding down. Bad news is I woke up to my daughter wondering where everyone was because she slept so well I had to drive her to school.
Nothing like driving in 15° to wake up on a Monday.

Shout out to the Oregon marching band playing their all while three dudes yell at us about the 1st half of a football game we, presumably, just watched.
Is it too much to ask for a view of the bands?

As we head into 2025, remember that 1980 is 20 years ago. We all agreed on this.

The good news is I don't have COVID! (still haven't been positive even once). The bad news is I felt bad enough the last few days to take a COVID test.

My freshman son finished his first varsity wrestling tournament. He was a heavyweight (215-285) as he weighs 230. He lost to one seasoned upperclassmen, beat a more pudgy kid about his age, then spent three rounds trying (in vain) to pin a prized hog.
Fun times, but they need more weight classes.

YT put this under every video that mentions politics with no way to turn it off. There is an option to "send feedback". Every time I see this I send feedback with depressing facts to let them know how it feels. Today was brain aneurysm statistics. Just let me turn it off please
