Knit, sew, gamer, avid reader, sometime writer, cook, baker. Mom and wife. Probably autistic, but I was a girl in the 90s so no one really gave a damn. 40-something now. Politically progressive, anti-authoritarian, anti-capitalist. Put the B in LGBTQIA+.
In case you thought I was done making knitting posts: THEY WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE WORLD IS LESS FUCKED UP. Also, probably after that. It's just kind of what I do in the fall and winter. Here is progress on my sweater that shows the raglan detail better than anything else so far.

And I did not have to do it again, but I did have to redo how I'm going to do the raglan increases about 4 times because my brain is Jello lately and of course that's the perfect time to basically create your own sweater pattern.

So here we are. I'm liking this so far and you can kind of start to see the detail on the right. I think I'm really going to love this.

To compare, two photos. The first is 120 stitches on a needle that is 14 in tip to tip. The second photo is 132 stitches on a needle that is 20 in tip to tip. You can probably see the problem.

This is not pretty. This is not ideal. This was fucking tiring and I'm still trying to get them to stick completely because it's just put on with cheap double sided tape from a window plastic kit. But now I have a swatch/mood board.

We are now here. This yarn is Cloudborn merino/alpaca/silk from Craftsy when they had the big yarn sell off. It looks grey from a distance, but the grey is made up of multiple colors close up.

This is my first time. No, I don't want spoilers. I've avoided them mostly. It'll be tomorrow before I get to content I've never played, but keyboard and mouse really is superior and using a controller was the reason I didn't like the game.

I decided that what I need right now is a knitting project that takes basically no brain power and gives me something wearable at the end. So this Drops Lima is about to become the Aros sweater.

Movies are hard. I can do TV more effectively because I watch a lot of British/Scottish/Irish/Welsh/etc period stuff with amazing knitwear. Also, that fucking green sweater that Picard wears is a treasure. I have half a mind to knit this shit myself.

Since I mentioned that these were underrated, at least in my opinion, I thought I would post a photo of my editions. I'm particularly fond of this cover of Weaveworld and have absolutely no idea how to describe it for alt text. I hope I did it justice. Imajica, though not fancy, is well worn.

I've decided that I really do want to actually post knitting here too so here's my current project. I'm duping a cotton acrylic blend sweater from Target that I love but never really fit right and just wasn't Iowa climate appropriate. This is Valley Yarns Northfield. #knitting #sweater
