I think there are those who don't know exactly which estimands they are or should be targeting. But there will also be those who (un)intentionally pick the one that "looks" better

I completely agree that the marginal effects world is a minefield (and what you describe is still happening). I don't really have a gripe with the package, just thinking that this will inevitably lead to mistakes (unintentional or otherwise)
