The very local place names I learned from people in Grasmere, Cumbria today:
* Tenters - A footpath in the village.
* Flosh Lonning - also a local footpath.
* Shoo-Ducks - name of a bridge over a small brook near the village centre.

My thanks to the Friends of the Beacon, Whitehaven for a festive evening talking about Cumbrian Christmas traditions. Sadly, there were no snow pancakes (yes, they are a thing!), but I did have some Cumberland gingerbread made to the recipe of late fell running legend Jos Naylor.

I spend my days walking old postal paths in Britain that were once walked by rural postmen and women. In the evening, I handwrite letters.

So far, I only know the chapter numbers are different.I was reading something else that referred to the Hillwalking book but my chapter numbers didn't match theirs. That was the clue my edition was out of date.

You can change the platform but can't change the people with internet access. Block and report have always been needed on forums. I equate it with disengaging from awkward conversations with people whose views you don't share in real life.
