I have a letter board on my wall that I bought from Target that says "YOU DON'T ALWA S HAVE TO HAVE ALL YOUR SHIT TOGETHER" because the "Y" in "always" kept breaking off.
1. Does this need to be said?
2. Does this need to be said *right now*?
3. Does this need to be said *by me*?

You're 0 for 3.

I don't know if this works for everyone, but this is the indoor thing that helps recharge me: spending unproductive time at my local library. Just to be with humans (most of whom are pretty quiet) and not bothering to try to get something done. It's a mental reset for me and I'm not isolated.

"It means believing that racism is not a natural condition of poverty but a political weapon that rich men use to constrain poor people’s political power."

Protests won't change the mind of the people who put them on the street. It's unlikely to change the mind of the people who saw the horror of mass deportations and said, "Sign me up!" But the coward who loves America but loves his power/position/comfort a little more may be reachable.

My concern is that the level of information control with the media environment is that many people who might care and who live in the districts of the only people who have the power to rein him in don't know it's happening.

It's one of the best time travel movies of all time. Time travel is really hard to write about!

Thanks for the recc. I loved Debt. Dawn of every month audiobook is available now from my local library on Libby. Kinda disappointed in my fellow patrons, but it's a windfall for me!

I saw a tiktok from a painter doing a painting in progress. The human artists take longer, but they're on it.

Taxes are high at least partially because we all voted to raise our own taxes - I voted for Preschool for All, I voted for the library levy and the capital improvements on the high schools. I'm not thrilled with how the first and the third are going but I don't regret those votes.

Is Tylenol risk-free? Probably not. Neither are epidurals. But the risks are very low, and my pain is not meaningless no matter what that birth coach or RFK says.
