1) This is why I think we are all doomed. I started this petition demanding electricity from renewables (over 50% of all electricity now in the UK) be detached from the much more expensive cost of wholesale gas. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/72...

Mandate energy providers to stop charging the same price as expensive gas for much cheaper renewable energy. We think they should pass any savings on to consumers, rather than keeping them as profit.

I get that the news cycle is packed right now, but I just heard from a colleague at the Smithsonian that this is fully a GIANT SQUID BEING EATEN BY A SPERM WHALE and it’s possibly the first ever confirmed video according to a friend at NOAA

Indian Balsam absolutely prolific in our valley. I have not heard of any insect ‘pests’ attacking it so surprised to see this one covered in black aphids. Is there a possibility these might eventually impact Indian Balsam success?

I thought these were butterflies but I now think they were Beautiful Demoiselle a type of damselfly. On the south west Coast path next to a stream and near Cape Cornwall. Never seen them before and amazing. @ukbutterflies.bsky.social @britishnatureguide.bsky.social
