‪School closed so I’ve given myself the day off too and in solidarity with the teen, I haven’t even bothered to get dressed. Feels like a proper skive! Occasional perks of working for yourself. ❄️

Govan Irish Club, Victoria St. Govan c 1910. My Great Grandpa & Grandma (Jack from Co. Mayo and Mary, from Govan) ran the club. Have been looking for more information on the Club on T/X but not had much luck - wonder if anyone on Bluesky land can help? Repost also appreciated?

Rooting through a box of old cassette tapes and have fallen into a teenage hole. My sister and I had VERY different music tastes, but I’m back in our room getting ready to go out listening to her tunes. Have to say that Barry White’s version of It’s Only Love is excellent!

“…bots, ads and fury”.

I’m all for the middle-aged Friday night content! Like a chat in the pub, which is hugely welcome.
As I chat away on here with people about their middle-aged Friday nights I'm increasingly furious over how obviously Twitter was strangling my feed. This ACTUALLY works as a social media platform. X was just bots, ads and fury. There are PEOPLE here.

Mackintosh was my obsession; all my college work was based on parts of his designs. I got to interview the architectural team in '88 at Craigie Hall (beautiful house associated with Mackintosh across Dumbreck road) before the build and shown his original drawings. Just magic for 19yr old me.
House for an Art Lover in Bellahouston Park in Glasgow. Designed in an Art Nouveau style in 1901 by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, it wasn't built until the 1990s.

So I've signed up here in the hope of a more fun experience, like days of old on the other place! Not sure I'll post much just yet, but I'm here :)
